“Howdy, scholars! Welcome to class.
What colours don your country’s flag?”
“Green, yellow, blue & white!!”
Márçia wasted no time.
“Red! With a white cross,”
Liam chorused.
“Red, yellow and green,
Plus a black star ever shiny,”
Kofi beamed.
“And you, Kolade?”
The silent being seated at the rear
Became the object of long stares.
“Green. Blood. Green,”
Muttered the hollow voice, rich with such glum & agony untold.
