Listen. the trees do not grow
because there is an abundance of growing
tied to the waist of the universe
Or, the tortoise taking its unhurried, indecisive steps,
believing so much in the patience
of the ground it walks on.
And, a man’s mind never desires to be
crippled by grief, pain or anything unsweet.
but that’s that. The being of things.
and so, wherever destiny’s shadow falls,
we will go.
